3 Ways To Optimize The Effects Of Your New Frontlit Banner

Frontlit banners are a popular option for companies of all types and sizes. They are cost-effective and durable, and many different types of lighting can be used to illuminate frontlit banners. There is no need to install backlighting as is necessary for other types of banners. Here are a few things you can do to optimize the effects of your new frontlit banner:

Don't Overlook Natural Light

Natural light is an awesome partner for frontlit banners. The sun can illuminate your banner whether it is inside or out. Hang a frontlit banner on your building where it will get the most direct sunlight and so that it is facing a streetlight if possible. This way, the sun can highlight your banner during the day and the streetlight can illuminate it at night.

Inside, hang your banner where at least one window is situated in front of it. This will allow sunlight to filter through the windows and onto your banner.  Your overhead lighting should pick up the slack when it is overcast or dark outside.

Make Use of Vibrant Lighting Colors

You can create multiple visual effects on your banner by making use of vibrant lighting options. Replace a white lightbulb with a pink or green one and direct the light toward your banner. Place colored fairy lights around the edges of the banner so they can illuminate the signage from an angle. Use colored pumpkin lights during Halloween and twinkling star lights during the Christmas season. The colored lighting will add charm and substance to your banner's message.

Utilize Your Overhead Lighting

If you want to hang a banner in your building and the building utilizes overhead lighting, your banner will not catch much of the lighting if it hangs flat against the wall. Installing the banner on a light frame that is slightly angled upwards before hanging it on the wall will tilt the banner toward the light so the light can better illuminate it and customers can more easily see it. The banner should be tilted no more than an inch so that nobody will notice that it is not sitting directly against the wall.

Your frontlit banner will look great with or without extra lighting illuminating it, so do not let a lack of lighting options stop you from designing a new banner. Whatever lighting is available in the vicinity of where your poster is located should help to draw attention to it.
