2 Ways To Generate Traffic For Your Trade Show Booth

If you are setting up a booth for a trade show, there are ways you can generate more traffic. The last thing you want is to be standing there watching your potential customers pass by you. Two ways you can do this is to wear a name badge, and use lights on your display.

Wear a Name Badge

Wear a name badge on your shirt so people will instantly know your name when they step up to your booth. There are different types of name badges you can choose from. If you are on a budget, you can purchase the stick on name badges that you write your name on. These badges can be purchased in bulk, and are inexpensive.

Magnetic name badges are becoming more popular. You do not have to worry about poking a hole in your shirt, and they look much more stylish. If you choose this name badge, a magnet is placed under your shirt, and the metal badge is placed over it on the outside of your shirt. It is secure and you do not have to worry about it falling off.

You could hire a printing service that offers plastic card printing to print name badges for you. There are typically two ways you fasten these badges: with a safety pin or a magnetic fastener. In most cases, you can use the templates the printing service has, or you can create your own name badge design.

When designing your badge, do not clutter it up with a lot of color, images, logos, etc. Simple and elegant works best. Your name and your company name will do fine, or you could only have your name. Make sure the badge and the lettering is large enough so people can see it without having to squint when they are a few yards away.

Light Up Your Booth

Using lighting strategically can bring in potential customers to your trade show booth. You can use LED tape, moving lights, or uplights. You should use accent lighting for the products you are displaying, or spotlight a surface where you have literature your visitors may want to read. Track lighting and recessed lighting also work well.

If you have a tabletop display, use clamp on lighting to illuminate your products or literature. You could also use a light box, or some LED rope lights. No matter what you choose, use high quality lights to ensure everything stays lit up during the trade show.

You could also use moving lights to attract someone that is far away from your booth. Have your company name on the lights, or a message you want convey. Place these lights on the walls of the trade show booth.

Trade shows are important, as they can increase your customer base, which increases your profits. Following these tips will help you make the most of your trade show booth.
